G is for...

Gorm shelving from Ikea!

These are my pantry shelves, assembled and stained by moi. All by myself! (Jim shimmed them so that they won't tip over. Just about everything in our house needs to be shimmed.)

Please note the bottom two shelves in the unit on the left.
Lots of storage for wine!

I'll eventually get caught up on the ABC A-long as well, letter by letter...

Actual knitting content

Amazing, huh?

OK, I'm starting to get caught up. Last Saturday I started a baby cap/hat--gift knitting for one of my editors whose wife had a baby a few weeks ago. Here's what it looked like on Monday...

...and here's what it looked like on Thursday.

Just some weaving in the ends left to do. Guess I should give you some details, huh?

Newborn Hat
Pattern: Vogue Knitting on the Go: Beginner Basics
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino
Needles: Addi Turbos--100cm, size 4 (3.5mm) using Magic Loop method
Started: June 3rd
Finished: June 8th

Finished in less than a week! That's gotta be a record.

I've also gotten back to the Claudia Handpainted socks. Just about ready to start the heel flap. I'll try to have some pictures of that in my next post.
