I am a size 8 and generally CO 60 sts w/sz 2 needles using fingering wt yarn. There is a great sock book called Sensational Socks by Charlene Schurch (sp?)(I think she's issued a sequel too) that really helps me with yarn and CO issues for socks. You can become very precise with sizes with all the charts in her book. BTW she offers instructions for dps and 2 circs for all patterns. (I'm a 2 circ person.)Joanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08843470618654743971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16787205.post-30426089114555052132007-04-13T15:00:00.000-04:002007-04-13T15:00:00.000-04:00Your foot is narrow, no way is it 10" around. Bet...Your foot is narrow, no way is it 10" around. Betcha that's why the sock doesn't fit. However, if you don't want to take it out, you can just give it to me and I'll finish it and keep it for myself! ;)

Seriously though, that STR yarn is kinda fat so it makes big sox!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16787205.post-85524866939585963682007-04-13T14:00:00.000-04:002007-04-13T14:00:00.000-04:00Okay so I was reading the article in the Reformer ...Okay so I was reading the article in the Reformer and was just fine 'til I read this line:

"From my standpoint, I think it's a bad idea for the state," he said after the meeting. "You have no greater example than the guy standing here with no hand. Here's a man saying this is the safest thing going and he's an example that it's not the safest thing going."

Where the f*ck does he come off - especially since Jim's injury happened more than 30 years ago with a completely different cannon? Now I want to go find that guy and beat the crap out of him. Preferably with something large and rusty so he has to go get a tetanus shot on top of the bruising. F*cker. (not that I actually would, but it's fun to fantasize about it).

Jim is a saint for dealing with this guy as calmly as he has been. I just hope that if the compromise does happen, this jackass lets the cannon out again each spring. The paralegal in me is screaming - make sure you get it in writing!!! ;o)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
